About Cedar Grove
The Township of Cedar Grove occupies 4.3 square miles in Essex County. It is a valley with a population of around 13,000 located between the Watchung Mountains. A majority of the housing is one family homes. It is 15 miles northwest of midtown Manhattan. Cedar Grove hosts Route 23 and is convenient to Route 3, 46, 80, 280 and the Garden State Parkway. There is great bus service into New York City. There is a short commute to the malls in Wayne. Made up of mostly modest to upscale one family homes there is still a selection of mid priced garden apartments to upscale townhouse complexes.
