About PequannockPequannock, along with Pompton Plains, is part of Pequannock Township. It is located in eastern Morris County along the Pequannock River. Situated along Route 23, Routes 46, 80 and 287 cross the northwest corner. The township is 7.2 miles big and has a population of around 14,000. There is a train station for the Montclair - Boonton Line with connections into midtown Manhattan. There is also NJ Transit bus service into the city. It is twenty miles to Newark International Airport. There are 3 elementary schools, 1 middle school and 1 high school. Pequannock has many single family homes and houses, as well as a selection of two and three family homes, garden apartments and townhouses.
